2025-2026 Registration
Registration for the 2025-2026 Waltham Girls Basketball In-Town and Travel basketball programs is open. Our season starts in mid-October with Travel Tryouts and In-Town and Travel games start up in December and finishing up in early March.
Ages
In Town has three programs:
- Grades 1-3
- Grades 4-5
- Grades 6-8
Travel has programs for:
- Grade 3 (if enough players)
- Grades 4-8
When
- Registration opens late September
- Travel tryouts are mid-October
- Travel practices start early November
- Travel Games start early December, end early March (depends on playoffs)
- In Town Games start early December and end late February
Where
Most In Town and home Travel games are played at Kennedy Middle School.
Locations of Away games for Travel teams are posted on the MetroWest website
Practices
Travel Practices are twice a week
In Town has practices sessions once a week in November
Games
2025-2026 Schedules are TBD.
In Town generally plays 13 games
Travel generally plays 16 games
Jerseys
In Town players will receive new shirts
Travel teams will use uniforms from last year, any new Travel player will be issued a new uniform.

When will registration open?
Registration will open in late September and be open for a few weeks prior to Travel tryouts. Watch the website for updates.
2025-2026
This registration is for ALL players who want to play in the Waltham Girls Youth Basketball program.

PLEASE READ BELOW to ensure proper registration as this process is different than previous years

There are two leagues; Travel and In-Town and this single registration will allow you to select which league your player will participate in.
NOTE: Travel players are required to play in the In Town program as well.
For players interested in playing on a Travel team - during registration you will need to select "YES" for the "I want to tryout for the travel program" question. You will be initially charged the cost of the In-Town program and we will have your player saved as a Travel Player. After tryouts, if your players is selected to a Travel team you will be sent an Offer Letter to pay the additional amount for the Travel program.
You must pay the additional Travel amount when you receive the offer email for your player to be officially rostered to a team.
